Every year in October, Microsoft runs a global campaign among its employees to give back and support charitable causes. Michael Hartmann had the idea for a globally accessible, inclusive 24-hour cycling event on indoor trainers to support a good cause. He and his team of tour guides invite enthusiastic cyclists to virtually ride some of Switzerland's most iconic routes together.

All the ride leaders are passionate cyclists and live in Switzerland. There are many beautiful roads with scenic views in this small country. Lots of these routes include significant climbs and some of them are known across the world from road races or simply bucket list rides for many riders. We defined 13 beautiful rides that we want to share and ride with you and get iconic views. Together, we’ll make a huge impact on 3'000 children’s life in Mozambique because Microsoft will match each and every donation.

Of course. As soon as we receive your donation, you’ll get all the information and the timetable for the 13 rides. You are free to choose which rides you want to join and how long you’re going to ride along.

Of course! We will set up a Teams meeting and stream the video of the ride so you get to see the breathtaking views. Do you have access to a spinning bike in a gym? Great! Get on that bike and stream the route via Teams. You've got a rower or a walking pad in your living room? Get moving and be our guest. Even if you just want to sit on your couch or watch us ride while you cook a meal, come join us. All we're asking for in return is a donation for the project.

Don't worry! Our group rides have a setting that keeps everyone together so you will always ride with the group. This is not about flexing our fitness. It's about spending some time together, have fun, and raise money for a good cause.

With ICONIC 24 we support a water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) infrastructure project for primary schools in Maputo, Mozambique. This sustainable project frees 3,000 children from their sanitation nightmare and offers them gender-equitable educational opportunities to escape poverty. That is why we are asking you for a donation. 100% of your contribution is for this project and 0% for costs such as administration and organization.

Summits4Hope covers all expenses related to the event so that 100% of all participation fees or donations can go to the children. All expenses are paid from the foundation account, which is funded every year by the foundation's founder, Gilbert Fisch - from his private funds. Our motto is: 100% to the children - 0% to the foundation's costs! And, of course, the same applies to the matched donations by Microsoft.
